Jacuzzi Gibraltar Pool Missing Hold Down Plates

I bought a used pool..which is Jacuzzi brand and Gibraltar oval 15 X 24, but I am missing the hold down plates (which according to the person who took the pool down it did not have any).

So I am guessing that the person who installed this pool may not have used the plates. Any suggestions on how to get these plates since Jacuzzi is no longer making pools?? Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi Regina. That's an easy one. Make your own. Any flat, or close to flat metal you can lay over your brace channels will work just fine. One of the 3' wide metal roof panels run down each side of the pool would work just fine.

Top Rail and Cap Repairs

by Robert F. Begani
(New Buffalo, MI)

The plastic caps joining the top rails of the pool some are cracked and broken. No markings on the pool to determine the age, must be 15 or 20 years old. Is there any way of buying new caps? Or Repairing the caps? I have used white duct tape which is now unsightly. I have thought of a fiberglass overlay.

The rails are in need of a good coat of acrylic metal paint, if i could find an answer to the caps.

A friend says he thought there were pads you could purchase to cover the rails so people could rest on the rails.

Ideas? Thanks, Bob

Above Ground Pool Bottom Rail

Above Ground Pool Bottom Rail

I recently bought a used 15x30 above ground pool. Unfortunately 3 of the bottom rails are missing. I don't know the brand name but it was made in Japan. Help me please.

Hi Meridith. I feel very certain this is an Asahi Pool. There is a place to get parts and it appears they are still in business.

In Need of Pool Bottom Ring

by Christy K.
(Mechanicsville, Maryland)

I have an aluminum 24' round above ground pool. We have moved our pool from one location to our new house and we need the bottom metal ring. I think it's called a wall angle but I'm not sure. It's a metal ring that sits in the sand so the pool stays up. The one that we pulled out is corroded and we just need that piece but can't find it anywhere!

3-piece top rail / collar assembly

Can you tell what type of pool I have by the wall pattern

Can you tell what type of pool I have by the wall pattern

Can you tell what type of pool I have by the wall pattern A view of the 3-piece top cap / collar all pieced together another view of the assembled 3-piece rail cap / post collar assembly

I have a 24' x 52" round pool with 17 posts. Problem is, I only have 16 rail cap / post collars (it's a 3-piece assembly). It's resin or plastic, not steel.

Paint
by: Bob

I have an 18 Ester Williams above ground pool.Had a Doughboy before an when the top rail got in need of some paint i used a regular Rust-oleum, it did not last. My Ester Williams top rail started to look bad, went to Lowe's an found Rust-oleum ( TOPSIDE MARINE COATING ), i cleaned the rail, used the TOPSIDE PRIMER first then used the TOPSIDE PAINT. Let me tell you that my rail looks great, like new. GOOD STUFF. Bob

Thin Metal Rails For Top and Bottom

Retaining Rail

Retaining Rail

I bought a home with an above ground pool. I moved the pool and now I need some replacement parts for it. But, I have no idea who makes the pool or what the correct names are of some of the parts I need.

What I really need are the top/bottom thin channeled metal pieces that connect to the uprights. They are approx. 50 1/2 " long, arc in shape. about 3/4" w/h the channel that the wall/clips/liner sets into is 1/8"ish..the channel is offset to one side.
